Epsom salt is a naturally occurring pure mineral compound of magnesium and sulphate. Long known as a natural remedy for a number of ailments, Epsom salt has numerous health benefits as well as many beauty, household, and gardening-related uses.
Studies have shown that magnesium and sulfate are both readily absorbed through the skin, making Epsom salt baths an easy and ideal way to enjoy the associated health benefits.
Bath Soak: Pour at least 2 cups of Epsom Salt slowly under warm, running bath water and mix until fully dissolved. Soak for 20 minutes for relief of sore muscles. Can be used in higher concentrations up to 2 cups per 5L of water.
Exfoliate skin: Mix a small handful of Epsom Salt with a handful of your favourite body wash. Gently massage onto skin to soften dry patches.
Soothe sore muscles: Add 1 cup Epsom Salt to 1L warm water. Immerse a towel and squeeze out excess water. Apply to muscles to soothe soreness.
Garden: Also has a variety of uses in the garden as Epsom Salt contains magnesium which is beneficial to plants.
