From the Opinel Intempora range this super strong and sharp Santoku knife is adaptable very easy to use. Usually used to chop and to slice. It is perfect to prepare fish and shellfishes and veg.
With a thickness of 3mm, the full-tang blade extends throughout the entire length of the handle. The knife is robust and well balanced. After cutting, the wide blade can sweep the prepared food off the board.
The 17cm long and 3mm thick blade remains rigid and stable when cutting.
Beech is the most commonly used wood for the manufacture of Opinel handles. From France, the beech is hard, durable and easy to work. With a homogeneous appearance, its light colour varies from yellow to pink. It is characterized by the presence of numerous small dark dashes.
We use Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel. It is anti-corrosive thanks to the addition of chrome and requires no special maintenance. Its carbon content of at least 0.40% gives excellent cutting edge. Blade hardness 57-58 HRC.
