Beautifully made Japanese flower scissors that make cutting stems an absolute pleasure.
Made by Sakagen in Sanjo, Japan, these lightweight scissors combine the traditional ikebana form with modern ergonomic resin handles and fluorine-coated blades. They're designed primarily for arranging flowers, but are equally at home harvesting herbs, deadheading, taking cuttings, or tackling light woody pruning around the garden.
The short, razor-sharp blades make precise, clean cuts that are kinder to stems, while the comfortable handles allow excellent control even during longer sessions. Niwaki's top tip is to place your index finger in the small notch on the outside of the handle for the best grip and accuracy.
Finished in bright yellow, they're easy to spot when inevitably left amongst the flowers.
