A turned wooden candlestick from British Colour Standard, painted in one of their heritage colours: Pompadour Blue, Old Rose, Olive Green or Rust. Pompadour Blue is named after Madame de Pompadour, mistress of Louis XV and one of the great tastemakers of 18th-century France.
Handmade in India, with a metal cup that takes standard dinner or taper candles and a soft pad underneath to protect your table. Wipe clean, and it comes in a recyclable kraft card box, so it's ready to give.
It pairs well with the small candleholder in the same range. Mix the two sizes and colours for a fuller table, or keep to one colour for a tonal look.
