British Colour Standard Seagrass Waste Paper Basket

A handwoven seagrass waste paper basket from British Colour Standard, dyed in bold stripes taken from their colour archive. A cheerful alternative to a plastic or metal bin for a home office, bedroom or bathroom, and just as useful for storing magazines, wool or children's toys.

Each one is handmade in India from dyed seagrass, a natural plant fibre, so expect slight variations in size and colour from one to the next. It has a natural grassy scent, and finishes with a woven British Colour Standard label and a kraft card swing tag.

Best kept for paper and dry rubbish. It isn't waterproof, and the dye can bleed if it gets wet, so line it if you want to use it for anything damp.
