Ghillie Kettle Camping Kelly Kettles

The Ghillie Kettle has produced camping kettles for centuries and at they're still handmade in England in the age old traditional way. They do, however, have one unique feature! All come complete with their own whistle. This adds to a safer product as you know exactly when the kettle reaches boiling point.

 The Ghillie Kettle is ideal for camping, fishing, hiking and any outdoor activity. Able to be used in harsh conditions - even when wet and windy. It is quick, durable and simple to use with no need for gas or artificial fuel: simply use twigs, fir cones, dry leaves and newspaper.

Available in 0.5L, 1.0L and 1.5L variants either in aluminium or aluminium with a hard anodised finish.

All anodised kettles are 'Hard Anodised' - the result being is that you get a thicker, stronger coating which is about 2-4 times stronger than the normal anodising process. It's about as close as you can get to titanium while still using a easily machinable aluminium.

All kettles are delivered in their own storage sack and are supplied with full instructions.

Instructions:

1. Pour water into the spout to approx. 5-10ml below the spout. Warning: do not overfill and do not light when empty.
2. Place the whistle on the spout. Do not push or force it on.
3. Place your fuel into the base, this can be newspaper, twigs, fir cones, etc.
4. Light carefully and immediately place the kettle on the base. Once lit the flames will rise through the middle of the chimney. 
5. The hole at the side of the bottom of the pan allows more twigs, paper etc. to be added and also allows oxygen to be absorbed as the flames rise (you can also add fuel through the centre of the chimney).
6. When your kettle boils the whistle will sound. Never approach the kettle from the front, gently lift the kettle from the heat source and carefully remove the whistle to pour the water from the spout.
