Lopsided Stoneware Mug

Perfectly imperfect, and all the better for it. The Lopsided Mug is a handleless cup with a gently wonky shape that gives it a bit more character than your average mug. It's designed and made by the Marunaka family kiln in Gifu prefecture, Japan, using traditional Minoyaki earthenware..

Each mug is fired at a high temperature and hand finished at the kiln. Slight variations in the shape, glaze and texture are part of the process, so no two are quite identical. Choose from White & Bisque or Moss Green.

With a 275ml capacity, it's a good size for a proper cup of tea or coffee. And despite its artisan credentials, it's perfectly practical for everyday use: it's both dishwasher and microwave safe.
