The Kuhn Rikon Essential Cheese Slicer, also known as a cheese plane, is a simple, well-designed tool for cutting neat slices of cheese. It's ideal for putting together a cheese board, adding a garnish to a salad or preparing cheese for baking.
It's easy to control the thickness of the slice: use light, even pressure for delicate slivers, or press a little more firmly for thicker slices. And there's a rather good extra use for it too - it's excellent for shaving chocolate.
Part of Kuhn Rikon's Essential collection, it has a clean, linear design with a comfortable handle. The waterproof construction makes it easy to clean, either by hand or in the dishwasher, and an eyelet in the handle means it can be hung up close to where you use it.
