Traditional Japanese set folding pocket knife made by Kanekoma with a hand forged 3" folded steel blade. Available in the standard SK version or the premium Blue Steel No locking device, no corkscrew, not even tweezers…whatever next?
The black nickel (SK) or brass (Blue Steel) handle starts off shiny but soon mellows to a lovely rich patina. Quite a stiff action that loosens with time, and can be retightened with a sharp rap on the rivet with a hammer.
Why Blue Steel? The addition of a little chromium to the mix increases the “kirenaga” of the blade, which is to say it will stay sharp for longer.
This knife counts as an EDC "Everyday Carry" knife as UK knife law allows you to carry non-locking pocket knives with a blade length up to 3 inches (7.62 cm) without any need for a valid reason.
