A simple way to make your own climbing plant support, exactly how you want it.
This system uses individual components so you can build a trellis to fit your space rather than trying to make something off-the-shelf work. Go for straight vertical lines, a grid, or something more organic across a wall or fence.
Made from stainless steel so it will last outdoors without fuss, and once it is up it keeps things looking clean and minimal while your plants do their thing.
Works well on brick, wood or concrete and can be set up with basic tools. You can keep it subtle or make more of a feature depending on how you lay it out.
Good for climbers like clematis, roses, ivy, or even beans and peas if you are growing food.
Why we like it:
A nice option if you want something simple, practical and a bit more considered than a standard trellis.
The wire rope is sold online in 5 metre increments (can be purchased by the metre in store).
Will also work well creating structure for our Jute Pea and Bean Netting.
For each run of wire you will need:
2 × eye screws, 1 × barrel strainer, 2 × ferrules, and a length of wire.
Order the wire to roughly the distance between fixing points, plus about 10% extra to be safe.
