RHS Hatchet Axe & Sheath

Traditionally crafted for enduring strength, high performance and comfort in use, this hatchet is beautifully weighted and is a real pleasure to use. Compact and offering a high degree of control, it’s ideal for splitting logs for kindling for woodburning stoves or open fires, and is also small enough to use in among branches for tree maintenance.

The head is made using forged high carbon steel, a process which changes the steel’s molecular structure, building in strength and maximising edge retention. The traditional FSC hickory wood handle offers outstanding shock absorption properties, while the gently flared handle end makes it easy to keep your grip on the handle, allowing you to use this axe with confidence.

This hatchet axe is supplied with a soft buffalo hide pouch for safe storage when not in use. For peace of mind, the axe is covered by the Burgon & Ball five year guarantee against manufacturing defects.
